Thanks to Edward a.k.a Acquarius for organizing this. I planned on just showing up and leave early since I was really tired from work but the company and the games kept me till about 1 a.m. A small number attended, but it was really fun, considering. Free shakers drinks, a shot of tequila on the house, no entrance fee, good company, and fun playing or simply watching the backgammon games, how could one ask for more? And of course, my old friend Debbie was there and I met new ones - Buck, Uraxs, Adel, Simon, and the organizer himself, Acquarius.
For newbies on the game, don't hesitate; it could be real fun! Looking forward to the next one.

CeeBee you said it all! What a great night, backgammon at Shakers was a lot of fun. I learned some new strategies, had a couple (free) drinks, and met some great people. Thanks again to Aquarius for organizing the event and negotiating the free shaker, that always helps my game.
I will see you at the next one, although I can't guarantee that I will keep my winning streak up. Beginner's luck only goes so far. :)
