Bollywood Evening at KRYSTAL CLUB (15th August)
There were a lot of things that did not please me.

1) I've been forced to leave my blazer at the entrance and they charged me 5 CHF. Andswhen I went in there were a lot of people with jackets blazers etc... IS it obligatory to leave our blazers at the entrace?

2) The drinks were pretty expensive 20 CHF for a beer and 35CHF for a long drink.

3) We couldnt even have a seat (eventhough there were a a lot seats empty). The reason being that, we have to order a bottle of alcohol to sit (thats completely ridiculous)

The one thing that did please me was the music.. excellent, lovely mixing and peppy.

The end verdict - I wouldnt go again to that place. A bad expereince.

Ps. Ehsaan when is youre next bollywood party at geneva..We miss youre energy and your collection of music (which is much better)

genevorine:

1. Was there an actual glocals Activity or grout that went to Krystal together, or was this not really a glocals Activity?

2. I forwarded your review to the owners of Krystal, let's see if they care to comment (we were once in touch with them about doing Sindy events there, but the drink prices were just way yoo high).

It was under the Events section.

And i did see it under the activity section too.. it was salsa near the lake followed by the Bollywood evening. And i did see the glocal group at KRYSTAL.

And according to me, places which even prohibts guests from having a seat and relaxing shouldnt be encouraged on glocals.

Because glocals is one of the best things that happened to me and other glocal members.

The fun, laughter and carefree are few of the many attributes at glocals.

Unfortunately, all the issues you mentioned are commonplace in most clubs in Geneva.  Usually there is a coat check which costs about 5 CHF, there was a free drink included with the door charge.  Some place don't even do that.  They just charge you a cover charge. The reserved area is where these clubs try to make most of their money.  If you go to any decent club in Geneva, you will find that this is not unique to this particular club.

I was in no way associated with this event and am not trying to defend the organizers but I thought they put up a good evening.  The ambiance was good, the music was decent (bollywood part could have been better) and generally a nice night.

So,  all I can say is, welcome to Geneva club scene :)

Just Chilling

I completely agree with you what you said about the coat check, cover charges and reserved area etc…

I think its normal in most the bars but  the issue here is…

1)      Forcing us to leave our coats at the coat check (if its a long snow coat or a rainy coat its understandable).   But just a normal blazer?

2)      I sat in three different places and was told to get up ‘cos it was reserved. Well I was there the whole night till the end. And to my disappointment the seats were still vacant till the end of the party.
