A nice group of five bowlers replied to the last minute call. We are definitely making progress, less and less gutter-balls, strikes are no exceptions any more.
We are close to the 100 point-average mile-stone and that only in training.
Another new member is profiling himself as an excellent bowler, Wim_in_ch was finishing with 3 strikes in a row !

The idea of the training is to reduce the rate of frustrating gutter balls and to make the game more funny for beginners. Indeed a player who misses ball after ball, has a close to zero pin count and is likely not to play again.
Some of the beginning players now have consistently less gutter balls and sometimes more points in the game than "experienced" players. So the results are there. And we are not thinking competition (no selection system etc.) just having fun. Would you like to try ?

well, my jest for a game between the 2 lake villages was just an idea. I'm a gutter ball person myself. :P I have my bad days and then worse days. would love to join you one of these days!
