Thanks to Double_D for setting up another great night for us all to show off our significant lack of pool skills. Though, there were a few ringers there, Krazy "I only play once a year" Lin and Jerome who swore at the start of the evening that he wasn't very good at all and proceeded to clear all but one of his balls off the break.
For sure, we missed the Lovely Belinda who is so patient with beginners and gives really good tips, but we struggled on without her. There were quite a few people who came for the beer, but alas I was not one of them. And so, I discovered that I am truly crap at pool. It was the beer last time that made me think I could play.
Looking forward to the next one, if only to serve as a good foil for other players. I make *everyone* look good, so come on out and play on my team!! :)

Well thanks for your message Kate!
It's totally true, I play only once a year or once every two years, but I think it's gonna change now since DD is organising these pool events.
I hope I'll play better with the time. But if you wanna win games, let's play some foosball (table football) I'm much better at this game.
See ya!

which is what i proceeded to do 4 most of the nite...following in the great footsteps of pool pioneers Jerseyboy, DoubleD and KrazyLin ; P
Another luverly nite DD, thnx for organizing it! There was unexpected but welcome turnout of the "my husband's not home" crowd as well as the attack of the au pairs (i'm sure the guys all enjoyed that part ; )
Bsides pool, we discovered the foosball (did anyone ever see Waterboy? luv that movie : ) where the great team of DD & Tigger lost 11-1 vs the Euro champion KrazyLin and partner Anousu. Apparently, the way we play it in BKK (ie spin the things as fast as u can) is not a winning strategy vs KrazyLin's extremely precise hits.
C ya next time by the pool tables guys...

Tigger,
I thought you're on a business trip in Paris? Is that what you call a business trip??
Well sorry to disappoint you, I was just one the 4 team mates that won the Swiss championship of Bellinzone in 2004.
Nope not interested in the au pairs, even didn't see them,...but I'm more interested in given you some private foosball lessons,...interested?

Nope, but I did eventually try. Thanks for the fun night, Danny, glad I finally got to one, and I plan to be somewhat of a regular, as long as you promise to get me on a train at the end of the night.
Thanks to Jerseyboy for the pool lesson, but I have a feeling you let me think I was actually OK, when in reality you could have kicked my ass.
And tiggs, what did the Nanny's attack?!?!?

Does that mean that you really did let me get that close to nearly, almost winning?
Dammit, I hate boys like you!
We're so playing basketball this summer.

I guess we just disappoint, as Jersey said: we're just a bunch of girls who can't play pool.
Next time we'll need backup and secret weapons!

Thanks to everyone who came out on Monday night to play pool or just hang out with us!
I don't think that Tigger and I actually lost to Andrea and Lin 11-1. It seems that we were playing an entirely different game than Lin.
Bring on the au pairs.
Belinda will have to come next time and devote a few games to changing Jerseyboy's mind.
I had a great time joking around and playing with you all. What a great bunch to spend a Monday evening with!
Let's do it again in 2 weeks and we'll see who can get on their train.
