Yesterday evening, a whole bunch of GoLers (Makso, Chillout, Krumrei, Debbie, Karen, Liv_a_Little, Oyuna, Rasputin, and myself)got together at the Nobel Bar (Hotel de la Paix)to learn how to prepare yummy, juicy, spicy (and specially strong!) cocktails. Thanks for coming!
This is how it went: each had a list with classic cocktails and a "off the record" list from which they could chose the cocktails they wanted to drink, and, most important, prepare. For example, the first brave volunteer, Krumrei (Kelly), wanted a Pina Colada. So, she got behind the bar and Lionel (our very sweet bartender) explained her how to do it. She did a great job!
The problem after that was to stop......Balala?ka, Pina Colada,Pick Me Up, Cosmopolitan, Bloody Mary, Mojito, Paradise, Blue Lagoon, Pink Lady, Margarita, etc.....:-)
No-show problem: MEN.....ONE brave guy showed up (Rasputin) and got all the ladies for himself....as for the others, only one went throught the effort of sending an email in advance saying he got caught up at work.
Guys, guys, guys, you are on Iolly's "black list"........a?e! The only way you gonna get out of this one is to pay 1 cocktail to each lady coming to the next "Cocktail Making Night", deal?!
PS: Not negotiable!:-)

Thanks so much Iolly for organising!!! It was greaaat!! And yes, it was definitely a girls night out :) The barman was very helpful and discreet. The "cadre" of the bar Nobel is glamour. But - most importantly - I'm now a Pink Lady specialist :)

What a fun evening! It was fun to hang out with all the glamorous, fabulous ladies (and the one brave man) that were there! The drinks were great, I can now make a proper Pina Colada and have discovered the Planter's Punch... delicious on a hot summer night! :)
