Congratulations to the organisers of Dinner & Dancers @ Awash!

Congratulations to the organisers of Dinner & Dancers @ Awash! It was everything a Glocals event should be. There were lots of friendly people, old and new members, eating, drinking and some excellent dancing. Lots of laughter and fun and all profits went to Orphan Aid Africa.

But what really made the night for me was that one of the organisers had the forethought and kindness to bring along a Birthday cake. When you sit there and watch everyone singing it just reminds you what a difference Glocals has made to people’s lives.

Thanks to Rob for that review and to everyone who came along last night to help us raise CHF700 for Orphan Aid Africa.

OA’s work is to promote the interests of orphans and other vulnerable children in Ghana. This includes:

* providing housing, health care and education for children

* working with UNICEF and the Ghanaian government for improved health care and education, and

* promoting sustainable social and economic development.

The money we have raised in Switzerland this year has contributed to building a water recycling system for OA’s children’s home and towards paying salaries for primary school teachers.
