Curling...a violent sport
Curling last night was so fun! Jeff had gotten us pleanty of ice space and was very patient with us: explaining the rules, showing us how to slide, and then just throwing us in and making us try!

It wasn't long before some people were ready to try a game, despite fighting their balance issues. A few of us just kept practicing not falling when trying to actually curl.

Everyone had settled into a nice rythm, but I guess we were very distracting in our attempts at curling, either that or Corinne and Mindi were too cute to be ignored, because after a 'near' fall and a 'potential' step into another groups area, a BIG man started yelling at us. Apparently it was some big match...at least Greg protect Corinne.

Needless to say, since we realized we were at curling and NOT an ice hockey game, this aggression kinda stole our thunder and we decided to call it a night.

Curling was good fun, but maybe next time we will try again in France.
Thanks Jeff for organizing this, curling is officialy a real sport.

too bad for the people next door that don't know how to enjoy life - sport should be fun and not be taken too serious - and i think that's what we did: had fun and didn't take ourself serious, but then how could we have when most of us looked like bambi on ice ;)))

a great THANKS jeff for organising this cool event - hope you didn't get into too much trouble

Who thought curling could be so much fun, AND packed with drama as the Genevoise became restless. Not only did Jeff organize a very cool activity, but also prevented an all out brawl due to his politeness and patience. Thanks to Jeff for good times!

Never thought I would say that...
Thanks Jeff for planning and instructing. Too bad we didn't realize just how intense the game actually is. We would have stopped having so much fun and not upset those serious players!
