Curry Club - Trying a new one...
That was my first experience with the curry club and it certainly won't be the last, especially now that I'm done with the 30 secionds intro. I was in great company -- nice conversation, good atmosphere -- and it was a lot of fun. The venue was very nice and the food OK -- the first plates could have been warmer and a bit hotter, but they caught up when they realised that there was not enough (at least on my side of the table).

Thanks Dean, I'll be back.

:D I enjoy the company and the food as well. The only regret was that no dessert has been served......... not even 1 scoop of ice-cream....

Dean, please next time count the dessert in the menu!

What a convivial evening! I think Dean entices only the friendliest people to the Curry Club. Thanks Dean for allowing Tim and me to gate-crash. :P

I echo the sentiments. A great find Dean and I for one will be coming back to try the full menu. Perhaps this is the start of a fresh look at the other restaurants as the 35chf limit has been broken as I didn't see anyone complain about paying the extra 5chf.

Gate Crashing , Mary actually you lost that title to Ruth :D . But I'm glad that it was fully attended and actually I'm not sure where everybody would have sat if we didn't have 2 no shows.

Here's to the next one.. I'll wait for Dean to tell you where.

Photo will be sent to Oded later today :-)

Two no shows...you know who you are...more importantly, so do I...!!!  But I'm sure your excuses are valid!! :)

I'd been to this restaurant before as I said - I paid menu prices and needed stress therapy for days... so a chf40 deal was ok... just ok though.

Nice restaurant, a bit slow but I think it was their first time catering for a large group at once, although they made out that they do it all the time... also, how many of you spotted any walk-by customers coming in...Mmmm if it wasn't for us what would they have done all night....well nothing I suppose!

The food was tasty, but let down by presentation... didn't like the cereal bowls they served it in... and I know that there's a rice crises in the world, so I won't be too picky, but I like course flavoursome rice, (Basmalti/pilau) - Their rice was more like the boil in a bag stuff you get with a sweet and sour meal-for-one (yes, I was once a poor student) so that was a let down... and the Nan bread was ok, but a bit 'breadless' it sort of disappeared as you tore it in half... quite magical really... a deceptive art only Indian restaurant owners can perfect!

The quantity was good, the variation was good, I feel good today (which is the ultimate test...without going into too much detail...!) and worth another visit maybe in the future.

Finally, thanks for a good turn out, gate-crashers and all, some good 30 second intros and with it being a Monday I was lenient with the drinking penalties!  Top night though, thanks all.

Dean.
