EasyHike in Leysin
The weather was fabulous. As planned, a group of 14 GLolers started with coffee on the top of the world (Kuklos restaurant). Then we went down the slope exploring the environment and following the trail. In less than an hour ... we reached the end of the beautiful meadows and were about to return to the village below ..... but this seemed to be too easy a hike for us. So, we discovered an interesting new trail leading to "Le Fer", nice meadows, alpine view, cows, very flat. But after half an hour walk we were in front of a steep and narrow precipice 50m deep, which made us wonder if, to keep it easy, we should make a half-turn. We changed gear from easy- to red "Via Ferrata" trail-level, and victory! we managed all to get through the obstacle, safely. In all we walked for three hours enjoying the wide alpine views.
Thanks to all for your enthousiastic support - I have the feeling we should do something similar again in the near future.

It was a nice hike. The scene is gorgeous on the top overlooking the lake and mountains. Let's do it again the other way around, hiking up to the summit and taking cable car down. Thanks! Jasper for organizing it.

After the Canyon experience, this was just the thing! For me, a really challenging weekend, full of surprises, and this was one. Is there a better way to spend the Sunday?I got home my head full of oxygen and beautiful landscapes.
Yes, I would like to go again. Thank you, Jasper!

Great weather, beautiful scenery and good company. Must do it again.
Except for the short challenging descent, nice and relaxing BUT surprisingly I ache all over. Or was it the 3 hours of salsa after the walk that is to blame :-))

Thanks again Jasper for organizing such a great day. Beautiful surroundings, great company (some familiar faces and lots of new friends), and brilliant weather - what more could you ask for. Looking forward to the next one...:-)
