From Caux to les Avants and SonLoup and back to Montreux through the Gorges de Chauderon
With fabulous weather the hiking program allowed to adapt to the varying hiking levels of the 20 participants (incl. 6 from Geneva; 8 from Lausanne).
A first get together in the train to Montreux, then the mountain train to Caux with grandiose views over the lake, and a drink on the terrasse with more views, all this as starters.
The hike to les Avants was done in two hours and included a great variety of terrain (river crossings, slopes) and picnic along streaming water. Some took the train up to SonLoup while others hiked up but we all met on top. For some the hiking finished here.
Then we split up in groups, one taking the Chemin des Narcisses in a relaxed way to return to Les Avants in about 1.5 hours and after a drink, catching the train back, and another with more speedy hikers determined to continue the hike to Montreux through the Gorges de Chauderon (the last group - 12 people - hiked in all more than 5 hours).

Jasper thank you sooo much for having organised the hike, I had an absolutely "FANTASTIC" day and met some really nice people, great atmosphere, and organisation on your part just perfect!!!! Looking forward to the next one!!!!
