Femi Kuti concert

well done Tinkie! despite the not so obvious meeting place (under a big tree, you REALLY had to look!), we somehow managed to find you (yes, even the people without mobiles), and we had great fun. i guess we didn't get to see too much of the stage/show, but i don't think it made much difference to us :) the music was there, the people were there, and the good times! a thousand thanks!!!

It was an enjoyable evening! Thanks to tinkie for organizing the event. She even had GOL signs pasted on the tree for those without mobile phones to find her! Femi Kuti's merge of American funk with traditional African rhythms was brilliant. The dancers had their "derriere" facing the crowd most of the time but who's complaining. And of course there was the "Minda's dance" !!!

Hmmmm. I don't recall any photos taken of my special dance moves, unless it's from "behind"! Hey! I'm not Femi Kuti dancers ;)
