Yo Mike,
Thanks for organizing such a great time! I was ready to chew off my arm for food. But what I want to know was what was in the soup. Swiss and the group around Adissa were just mad with laughter...
Cheers,
Rick

... it was the only thing I didn't have, and it was those who had it that seemed to be curled up in what seemed to be excruciating glee. Apparently, everybody seemed to find Epale's and my skiing mishaps a source of great pleasure, ignoring the fact that I come from a country that's almost equally divided into two by the Equator. Epale had, in my opinion, weak excuses for her inability to snowboard :-) ... which I shall let her perssonally address publicly on this forum if she wishes to.
And Snowrice, I still haven't received the latest frozen batch. In any case, the turkey baster seems to be malfuntioning and I have had to order a new one.
Back to the food. I've been to Ka Chon numerous times now, if they had a fidelity card, I'd have been eligible for a free meal three times over by now! With that comment, I think I have successfully addressed the quality of the food, service and company (as I always go there with great people --- incidentally usually GOLers).
Thank you Mike and Jiji for the idea and organizing. It was nice to see everyone, for the first time all over again.
BS
PS: Regarding the soup. My statement about giving it a miss has nothing to do with its quality. It smelt good and I wished I could it sea food just so I could have partaken ....

mike and jiji !! i always thought this place only had noodles, which are nice of course, but i must say that despite my already very full stomach, i would've licked my plate and the service plates after each course if i hadn't been in a restaurant, surrounded by really nice people, veteran golers and newbies alike !! thank you guys for gathering a nice crowd in a nice restaurant... mwwwah !!!

JiJi who is alway late (45mns)..therefore food got serve late. At least when food came, it was worth the waiting. The sea-food curry was really really yummy...plus the dessert.!!
It was good fun to have regulars & some newbies (Alison + Hubby, Mark & eddy). Many thanks to all for coming. It was a real treat from Ka Chon. Party continued with karoake...then Shakers.
Cheers,
Mike
