Thank you Ginger - So here's a review (and a rant on behalf of Jasper).
Jasper organised a lovely drinks evening at Chateau d'Ouchy on Friday night, as he does, every month, at different venues. It was attended by many, but not as many as the 125+ people who signed up. In fact, about 50+ of those who signed up, bothered to show.
If you have never organised anything on glocals (it's not obligatory, we all know that), then you won't appreciate how difficult it is to find venues, monitor numbers, print bloody name labels, advise the venues and ensure that everyone is catered for.
If you knew Jasper, then you would know that he is one of the most generous and humble people you would ever meet and he is not doing this for his own personal glory. He is doing it for YOU and your friends and for the benefit of the entire glocals community.
So next time you sign up, but can't be bothered to turn up or let the organiser know, don't be surprised when events like this, start disappearing.
Although, I expect you'll be the first to have a good old moan that "nothing ever happens in bloody Switzerland".
