Lausanne Musical Chairs Fondue
The Lausanne Musical Chairs Fondue by JulianT and Bleue102 took place in a real Fondue Chalet slightly outside the center of Lausanne. We were a nice group of 40 glocals and had the upper-level reserved for us alone.

Now that "musical chairs" in Geneva have become events which are exclusively for below fourties it was a relief to have a happening like this again without age restrictions.

Some friends coming over from Geneva had apparently the same thought.

After a nice starter, a deliciously smelling fondue (I still have the smell in my cloth) with crusty fresh bread, white wine, then desert and coffee. The table switching is still a mathematical enigma I promised Julian to solve for the next chairs.

The enigma is, that we changed table but that in one case half the table moved with me, this in spite of the lottery like drawing of numbers.

In all, thanks Julian and Elisabeth fot organizing this nice event, good choice of location and very well done.

I thoroughly enjoyed this night out, seeing old friends again en making new acquintances.

The venue is very cosy and suitable for this kind of occasion. I agree with Jasper on the mathematics of the musical chairs ceremony, but by some weird miracle it always turns out well. What did make it complicated is the impressive number of last-minute and last-second cancallations, about 20%. I realise the flu is raging but still... Julian and I thought we should mention this again and are wondering if there should be another clarification on the part on SiteAdmin, especially with a view to reservations made in restaurants etc. I am sending in part of the pictures tonight.

Thanks once again to Julian and Bleu for organizing this event. I hadn't been to the venue before but I now know where to take my out of the country visitors for de la fondue without leaving town.

The format works quite well to mix up the tables and meet loads of people (and see old acquaintances). The math is random... and if by chance you end up with a "repeat", you simply need to move to opposite ends of the table. (no offense taken, of course)

I also enjoyed the fondue evening and enjoyed changing tables after the various courses. The photos turned out great.
