it was a great night! i hadn't sung karaoke for 2 years and while doing it in a bar is a bit weird for me (i'm used to the Japanese style), it was great to hear the whole bar (well, mostly) doing backup vocals for all the singers. even locals who had no clue there was a charity fundraiser joined in the fun!
it was great that so many people turned up, and it was fun to see them 'fighting' over the song list to choose a song. ;)
and no, i don't think any of us will ever make it to 'Idol' (although there were some decent singers there), but it was a lot of fun. thanks for setting it up Sandra!

It was my first time in a karaoke bar (usually I sing when I am sure NO-ONE can hear me, just in case :P), and you know what? I'm still alive! And so are the attendees! :D
A guy called Patrick (don't know his Glocals name) was a damn good showman - you should've seen him on Outkast's Hey Yah and George Michael's Faith!! The whole place turned crazy! :w00t:

yeah, it was great! Despite being microphone-shy, it brought out the backing-singer in me. Was a great sing-a-long night! Good for all!

Thank YOU guys! You made the night a HUGE success and I just had a fantastic time. What an atmosphere!! And on top of that, together we raised over CHF600 to go towards Familia Moja Children's Centre.
I'll keep you posted on what exactly it goes towards :D
