First of all a big thank you to everybody that showed up(Sunshine 100, Materhorn, Wayne and Friend, Gillianne, Irkin and a few other I forgot the names), announced or unannounced. The weather was not giving us thumbs up but the Monday night skate did hapen and none of us got a single drop of rain. The tour was a bit easyer than previous ones and everybody made it in one piece to the end. A few more friendly Glocals met us at Lady Godiva (LuzMaria and friend and Krisa and friend)and we all had a couple of nice beers. Then the Rain fell like we seldom see in Geneva. I could just imagine if that had hapened and hour earlyer....... Anyhow good spirits where there and I realy enjoyed seeing everybody. The NEXT one will be on October 1st.... Get those bearings greased and ready to roll. Thanks everyone!!

It was a fantastic 2 hour rollerblading night in Geneva.
Where do they find so many cool and great rollerbladers from Gen?ve Police Department? Is rollerblading a part of GPD entry test? They swiftly flying among crowd, guarded in every intersection of the roads, leading in the front and the sides… making sure all night rollerbladers are well protected.
All the way GREEN lights! You hardly need to stop. I enjoyed this ultimate and rare privilege and exclusiveness of taking the roads for a fun healthy sport… in a normally busy and noised traffic at night.
Cheered (or bulled) in every intersections by likely jealous drivers who were waiting for the long stretching rollerblading snake to slipping through …Every intermissions with policeman standing guard over us. You can never feel safer, ensuring and relaxed in the streets!
Especially cool was rollerblading up on the highway and slipping into long tunnels. Everyone was screaming in the tunnels, very funny! …pretty little allies in Carouge and places I do not know where.
I heard they do this once a month. Last night was the last one for this season…it seems the undesirable cold and raining season is unfortunately approaching:(!
Laurent_68 was absolutely right. We were extremely lucky. After 30 mins of arrival, having beer, relaxing and chatting in Lady Godiva, it started raining like cats and dogs… had to midnight rollerblading home in the rain. Thank you, Justine for the umbrella; Managed to get home safe, dry and warm!
Thank Laurent_68 for calling Glocalers to participate this! Thanks to all volunteers and cool rollerbladers from GPD for organizing and guarding a great rollerblading night for hundreds of us.

I didn´t sign up before, but I met some Glocals there. They are everywhere! I hope, the next nightskate will happen on 1. October. Otherwise there are so many groups...Annemasse, Annecy, Geneva....you never get bored!

...I guess I haven't fully recovered from my 28 hours of sleepless sailing this weekend yet, I just couldn't get up from the sofa. Happy you enjoyed it !
