Move night : The Last King of Scotland
I just wanted to thank everybody who showed up yesterday for the movie evening and for the Belgian beer afterwards in the Britannia Pub; it was a good crowd and apparently we even had competition from other unidentified big "English speaking" groups of people in the audience ;-)
If a movie is succeeding in waking up strong emotions in people, it usually means it's a good one, so judging from the reactions of everybody, The Last King of Scotland gets classified as a great movie on my list. It was also pretty obvious I thought why "General Amis" got an oscar for his part.
So thanks again everybody and I hope to see you all at the next movie event, if not sooner :-)

Thanks to Flippo for organizing -- it was totally fun, plus Monday was the cheap ticket night, so the price was actually reasonable.

There was indeed one scene were people were very "moved"... to look away or leave the theater... fortunately I think the fine Belgian beer made up for that. :)

Personally I think that the most memorable scene was right at the beginning when he was spinning the globe and the first place it stopped he was going to move to....well apparently Canada required a re-spin!! But then I guess there wouldn't have been an oscar worthy movie had he gone there...
