Just came home from the Musical Chairs dinner at Poco Loco Mexican Restaurant in Lausanne.
Nice Mexican food, slightly less than 40 people, friendly & enjoyable atmosphere. And all this on a big terrace overseeing the city.
And not to forget one birthday girl, and a good time at the Mexican bar afterwards... I enjoyed the evening a lot!

Pierre did a great job of putting it together, with a good program of food and wine, as well as a smooth organization that didn't get in the way of the fun. A really nice group of people made it out and each with a fascinating story to tell. Only sorry there were not more courses in order to have met everyone present!

Pierre, thank you very much for organising this dinner. Everything was there to make the evening, smiling glocals, good food, warm weather. And the rain was considerate enough to wait until we finished the meal... Really very nice. Sorry I had to leave while the night was still young... Train to catch! ;)

- A lot of people came in from outside of Lausanne and had to run off early to get their trains etc. If the start time was moved forward to 7 it would give these people a chance to enjoy the whole meal and relax a bit more. I understand that many people can’t make it this early but the starter still wouldn’t be served till about 8 and those that know they can’t make it until 9ish can let you know in advance and skip the starter for a slightly reduced cost.
- It would also be great to have peoples glocals user name available on their name tags

Pierre mentioned to me, in GVA, that he's thinking of running a dinner in Lausanne. Many folks said this to me before, and in all previous cases - nothing happended. So I thought this would be the same.
But I was wrong, and Pierre did make it happen, and from the reviews I read - he made it happen well.

Many thanks Pierre for organizing such a great night. I have been to a number of the musical chairs dinners in Geneva and this ranks well up there with the best. The location was great, staff were very attentive, food (and wine) very enjoyable...and most of all a really friendly and interesting group of people to spend the evening with. (I also really appreciated the fact that there were no age restrictions on the Lausanne Musical Chairs dinner, unlike the Geneva ones.)

For next time, timing will be improved. We'll start eating a bit earlier, and aim to be finished with tea/coffee by 11pm latest. This should give enough time for our friends from further away to catch their train, and for the others more time to enjoy the mingling in the bar afterwards.
