though i did meet 3 people who i had very interesting conversations with and hope that they will keep in touch. in my mind this review was a lot better and i do want to make a few points before my eyes seal shut with sleep...
1.the Indian crew that was there, they are all fantastic dancers. i am envious of the stamina they have, and the sleek moves of all the ladies was lovely. i can only wiggle...but those ladies have it down. it was really hard to keep up with them.
2.did i mention Ehsaan was crazy?
3.i successfully got some people to dance with me, and even some gentlmen danced with us. i was being taught the macarena but i am a bad student and didn't pay attention...that and well i did my own thing.
4.the atmosphere was fun in the beginning and was pretty consistent all the way through. at about 10 pm people started heading home. we sang happy birthday for the anniversary and lit sparklers and continued dancing.
my only negative comments are that the music was a little too loud at the beginning of the dancing part of the evening...when most people were still not dancing. otherwise i had a very lovely evening and i hope all of you returned home safely.
cheers and have a great weekend!

Since I am TOTALLY new and didn't know what to expect, I also just said " well, why not?" And it was worth it.
I liked you people, liked seeing new faces, being one myself, and liked chatting with you.
My moves of an awkward bear was my imitation of dancing, in case you didn't know.
Music is always the topic we could talk about a lot. Overall, I liked it. Just, why do I *always* have to hear "nothing sweet about me", followed by "I kissed a girl" followed by Pink, I start a fight or how it goes? These three songs are always in a row. Every single day.
And, yes, Eshaan, the way you dance...incredible. Crazy, but incredible.

Yeah, as always, it was a great after work party with lots of excitement; a couple of new people joining through my reference, and all they have to say is... they had a great time. The arrangements with the sparklers really added to the fun, giving us a feel of having DIWALI away from home. I am sure all the people there loved being a part of our Diwali celebration.
Past midnight, after a few of us signed off from the cafe, we had a great time piling on snow (by that time, there were plenty, everywhere) and throwing them on each other :w00t:... it was like Zermatt, Jungfrau or Darjeeling (Indians!) in Zürich. Had to take the last bus home.
There are plenty of photos to come... so all ya, hold your breath (coz they stink :P).
Cheers

Goran, You have to join us more often to see the unleashed craziness of other members as well...Avishek, thanks for clicking the pictures...send them to siteadmin please...
Now where do I begin???
Lets start with Marit....like last time, Marit was the first one to arrive...5.30pm..She helped me to decorated the place, light up the candles and setting up other things..
Thanks Marit for helping me out. You are still my favorite bouncer!!
Avishek came later on to help us welcome the people, tag them and get them drunk!
My lungs still need some oxygen, since I pumped out all the air from my lungs into those 100 balloons :w00t:
The weather was very bad and ugly...almost 6 inches of snow...but that could not stop the spirits of glocalers...There were about 80+ people which is a very good number...
It started slowly, but by 9pm the entire bar was full..It was also nice to have a few Indian people, especially "those" 2 couples...It added 4 stars to the party since we also celebrated Diwali...(with candles and sparklers)...I did not know that Indian girls can also drink a lot (like a fish) until I saw one... :P
As usual, the party kicked off at 10pm with my "antics" when the music went up...
I would like to thanks ALL the glocals member who came down for the celebrations inspite of the snow and rain and the cold weather.....
Congratulations to those 3 tambola winners and thanks to Claudio for sponsoring the 3 bottles of Champagne (or was it Prosecco?? :ermm:)
I would also like to thank Winita for the demo Salsa lessons....Thanks Wini!!
People stayed until late and then headed to different directions...(XTRA, Piranha, ??)
All in all a great party!!!
Many more to come...
Cheers
Ehsaan

Haha! :) well, it was a special evening and w didn't want to let you down. otherwise i am still a little old lady deep down, and during the weekdays i don't like to stay out too late because i am just a little cranky the next day. :P
on weekends that is a different thing altogether because there is time to recover after being out too long. :D
this weekend is a busy one for me though so i am going to relax as much as possible!
thanks again to everyone who made wednesday evening a great evening!
