Hey Sarah, thanks for organizing :) I find it a nice event but as I mentioned earlier, because you bring a large amount of people and therefore business to the Mandarin, I feel you could negotiate with them to provide some free food (snacks, tapas) rather than just peanuts..This compensation does make sense especially because drinks are not cheap and it is common practice..it would make this event even better and more popular..  

This matter has been discussed with the venue and is not an option.

The bar already accomadate us with extra staff for this event and are willing to take a large crowd in the bar. Also, all drinks prices are reduced just for us and this event.

Thanks Sarah-Jane, this was my first New Member Drinks and also my first Glocals event so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I had a great time.

I enjoyed meeting some really interesting people and look forward to meeting some more at the next one in January.
