News Study Group - Thanks Nico !
Thanks so much for organising these sessions, Nico, and to everyone that attends. Not only are they are a great diversion to the distractions of a day in the office, but they are also very enriching from the point of view of the diversity of perspectives, depth of insights and manifestations of expression of a group of people who care to meet, to seek to understand, and to challenge. I very much enjoyed the lively debate.

Jersey girls’ story (4 women who lost their husbands in 911), despite sad and make you feel angry, I am still inspired by these determined women who refuse to be victims, who ask determinedly and tirelessly for truth of the 911.
I was also inspired by viewpoints being challenged which certainly help me to re-examine critically what I have read and believed. Thank to people who hold different viewpoints and thank simsim for extra links on this issue.

I do still believe that majority of people are not ignorant neither careless, and are NOT manipulated easily by mainstream media/ruling elites as per discussed. I believe like you and I, most people do want to know truth despite truth might hurt, most people do care issues which they do not have direct personal interests linked to, most people do concern and not only just want to live comfortably!

To say today, major critical world issues can STILL be largely comprehended by some conspiracies, and these world affairs have been dominated by a small group of powerful conspirators who manipulate economic and political agenda from behind the scenes, and most people are being cheated is still not convincing.

The penetration of a decentralized way of modern news and information being gathered, interpreted and distributed largely reduces this conspiracy possibility. The Internet, Web 2 technology have empowered so many thoughtful and responsible citizen/small organization the ability to speak, broadcast and connect their “alternative” opinions to the entire world. The power of traditional media and ruling elites is declining.

If our world, as per discussion, has ever been dominated by a small group of powerful, selfish, petrodollars-driven conspirators, ruling elites, who manipulate so much of what most people think and believe via largly media, these conspirators are facing an unprecedented challenge to remain this dominance over us.

There are many conspiracy theories about 911. While this documentary 911 Truth actually inspires me that a small group of thoughtful and responsible citizens are able to outsmart, outthink these “evil” conspirators had them ever been so powerfully manipulating people.

Thanks Nico again for putting effort on this great event.

"Let me deal with the conspiracy theory idea that this is somehow to do with oil. There is no way whatever if oil were the issue that it would not be infinitely simpler to cut a deal with Saddam...." Tony Blair(London Times 1/15/03).

Greenspan: Ouster Of Hussein Crucial For Oil Security
Greenspan said disruption of even 3 to 4 million barrels a day could translate into oil prices as high as $120 a barrel -- far above even the recent highs of $80 set last week -- and the loss of anything more would mean "chaos" to the global economy. Given that, "I'm saying taking Saddam out was essential," he said. But he added that he was not implying that the war was an oil grab. "No, no, no," he said. Getting rid of Hussein achieved the purpose of "making certain that the existing system [of oil markets] continues to work, frankly, until we find other [energy supplies], which ultimately we will." (Washington Post 9/17/07)
