Out of the oven fresh bread, butter, jam and thermal water
Just add some nice friends, beautiful countryside sceneries, and go from Echallens Bread Museum to Yverdon thermal bath to get the best of a rainy day. It’s what we did yesterday, and I loved it ! Hope you enjoyed it as well.

Actually, some liked the journey so much the decided to step on the wrong train and do a Yverdon – Lausanne – Fribourg – Lausanne – Geneva on the way back. Sorry folks, you missed the dinner… but we had so much fun getting your SMSs ! ;-)

... just boarded the first train that arrived, on the OPPOSITE platform :/
Hot-footing it to the train station, identifying right train, pizza plans... all for nada!
Too busy chatting, and thus could continue those conversations for an additional two hours.
Nobody but myself to blame for having spent 4 hrs travelling, 0 hrs in either hot jacuzzi, sauna or steam room....
On confirming we were 10 minutes from Fribourg, Wayne immediately and admirably tried hard to make me see the funny side. I saw only another 2 hrs before getting home, no pizza, and work the next day.
But THE COMPANY AND THE POOLS WERE CERTAINLY WORTH THE TRIP!! So I am not complaining..... any more...;)
THANKS FOR ORGANISING, HOBBES!!!

It was a fun and indeed funny day for me. Hobbes, your lovely boy certainly made the swimming part of the thermal bathing much more fun. Neither of us could stand still for more than 5 minutes in the bath : )...we had fun playing in the pool..

As for that “little” extra trip to Fribourg simsim and I took # @ $ %......
Ok! Admittedly, it was quite a dumb thing for two experienced travellers. There were many signs that had showed us it was a wrong train. First of all, it was a local, very slow train where you can widely open the windows. I was amused by the fact that you can open those giant window in the train(i liked it). It basically stops every 5 minutes in those very tiny stations that names of the stations I’ve never heard. It was quite obvious that it could not have been an intercity high speed train. We were also supposed to see the Lac leman but the long-waited pretty lake scene just simply did not appear!!!!

I started cautiously asking…, hey! The whole landscape and scene does not look familiar…. It looks quite new to me. “Are you telling me we’ve taken a wrong train?” simsim asked. I don’t know,…. but where is the Lake??...Another 10-15 minutes passed… despite that fact that I was also enjoying our conversation and forced to listen to a drunk passenger who sat near us broadcasting his loud annoying music from his cellophane, I still could not resist the fact that the lake just did not appear outside the window….. Then, it was confirmed we did take a wrong train, no pizza, and more than another hour needed……I felt quite stupid for like 30 seconds and started laughing. I think presumably, the fact that my French is nil, I was more a follower of simsim in the trip. And especially after tree climbing, that “rhetoric misunderstanding”(can we all agree on this explanation? And hobbes, your review on the watersliding is not helping me At ALL...)…, how dare I to challenge the orientation of a French-abled smart female leader to bring me safely and shortly back to Geneva for pizza in hobbes's place? And simsim, you did not really complaint that much. You were more concerned that hobbes and other fellows are waiting for us in vain. It was a fun and funny day for sure.

I can't refrain myself imagining you in that train, wondering "yek, but where's that damn Lake gone Simone ?"

erm, am I supposed to recognise myself in this unflattering culinary description? I think you have surpassed Wayne's sexist comments in the potential to offend area! So I guess Wayne is happy..;)

Grinning From Ear to Ear

Here is for Hobbes:
"
GFETE is used in chat and other text-based communications and letting others know you're really happy or you've found something amusing"...

I actually like these chat jargons since I would not accidentally step on some landmines :-o

..of an offending area by using for example FAG ;-) which I did not say, still insist that… But could we please end this S word thing with my name please. EOD!
