Photo Club Meet - June 24
A bit of a quiet one this time around (well except for the rock/punk band at Nyon in the afternoon) :-) Thanks to all those who showed up. A quick visit to the exhibition (well we could hardly roam around the place for hours, considering the size of the room and half. LOL).
OK, the exhibition was a bit of an eye-opener. The tragedy of Chernobyl is but a vague memory for most of us, and though the subject was not cheerful, the photos on display were very touching. Some of them said as much about the event and the aftermath by what was missing or left out than what was included.
A very pleasant late lunch on a verranda and getting to know each other a little better (great Club Sandwich).
A big welcome to the new members. I'm dead certain that you'll bring a lot of fresh perspectives and teach us all a few things ;-)
And then a little review of the work that had been done over the last two shoots (some real talent there Rick, great compositions, and the retouching of a few photos was simply inspired. And very impressive the way you finished off that pizza. LOL).
A few drinks at a bar in Lausanne (and for once there weren't too much football obsessives glued to a screen). Really enjoyed talking about "du tout et de rien" (and I'm sure you have a lot more stories than you think, Rick). A little groggy this morning, but at least I didn't have to get up at 07:30. LOL.
Look out for the next meet, and looking forward to seeing all of you really soon.
Keep passing the open windows.
