The third pool tournament had a record number of players, 16 in total and the level of the players was excellent. We had both all the usual Wednesday pool top players and a number of new skillful players to challenge each other. For the first round players were divided in two groups, 8 players in each.
After 3 hours of exciting games the 4 players to go to the semifinals were selected. From group A Rich won all of his games and finished first in his group. The second from group A was cilo_blu who only lost against rich.
In group B the first player was Ripa who also won all of his games. The second from group B was Busstop who only lost against Ripa despite his injured foot. :)
Semifinals (best out of five games):
Busstop against Rich, Busstop won 3 to 1 and made it to the final
Ripa against cilo_blu, Ripa won 3 to 1 and made it to the final
Final (best out of seven)
Busstop agains Ripa. After four exciting games Ripa was declared winner. Congratulations, excellent playing!
The level of the players was very high, many games finished with both players on the black ball. The whole tournament lasted five hours. Congratulations to all participants, great job!
Top 5 players:

Great tournament overall, so many good players. More than four players definitely would've earned their place in semifinals and all semifinalists would've been well qualified for finals... makes for exciting games to watch! Thanks to all the players and to all the fellow cheerleaders.

well , first of all it was up to the players to nominate theie cheerladears , and i wud say that we had 9 cheerleasers at the end ,
But i can do a female tournament if that wud please you , but wud need yr help to convince the laydies ,will u paly tinkie ? then u cab choose yr cheerleader so each player can choose HER cheerleader ;-)

well guys we had our first classic rules tournament, wud love to know your reactions , about the classic rules and the funky rules , which one is less luck and more challenging ..so we can deceide which rules we paly next tournamet its up to you now ;-)

the funky rules based on being harder , coz you have to enter ball no 1 and ball no 15 in the mid Pockets , and balck goes last pocket , if there is a Skratch u take 2 shots.

I have to agree Timol - the classic rules are the best (in my highly subjective opinion). By the way, does anyone know when the photos from Sunday will be posted?
