Last night, a bunch of us gathered at a bar "something de Luna" (not the official name, but I can't get into the activity posting to find out what it's actually called)
Trying something new, by yourself, can be a nerve-wracking experience, but once I walked in, I realized that I wasn't the only person that had had to walk in alone, so I felt better.
It was the first class for the majority of the people, though there were a couple of ringers who had taken the GOL weekend classes. Paul explained the steps well (I can still do most of them; *most*, not all) and we got lots of practice with lots of different partners.
Tha bar itself seems like a nice little hang-out. The drink prices were good, the staff friendly. I didn't stay for the dancing after as I can't hack late nights on a school night, but I'm really looking forward to next Tuesday.

Well as a reluctant participant I was pleasantly surprised how welcoming everybody was , and how patient Paul as an instructor was. The venue was ideal with parking close by and plenty of room to move around the floor. I'll certainly be coming back to improve (although I'll be practising at home before next week) .
Thanks Paul for making this so accessible to a complete beginner with two left feet.

Hey Trevor,
Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad that you're enjoying it and it's just a matter of time before you have a right and a left foot - you'll get there !

I've danced (but not Salsa) for 12 years and it is the first time I feel such a good spirit during a dance class!! As a result, you get to learn much faster thanks to the great atmosphere that makes you feel very conmfortable even for total beginners. And being able to practise during the free dance session after the class is a really good idea...
Definitely worth a try... and you will see me there every single week!!
Thanks Paul!!
