Sushi making workshop
Well, what a fun workshop we had on Tuesday night! 8 enthusiastic Glocalers (one even travelled all the way from Gland) making works of art in rice.  Rolling magnificent nori rolls, stuffing Inari, and even creating our own little rice emperor and empress. I can't wait to see Extremal's photos, showing off everyone's skills both in making and presenting sushi - mind you there was some impressive skill in eating on display too!  Thanks to everyone who came and contributed to a lovely evening.

Thank you so much Kiriel for a fabby evening. The workshop was informative, loads of fun, and we ate SO MUCH SUSHI! I had such a great time and would definitely reccomend a Kiriel cooking class to anyone who hasn't tried one yet!!

KK:

Your Sushi workshop now go beyond Geneva and into Gland...next it's Lasuanne, Switzerland, and then the world!

Seriously - I've been seeing the reviews of your work shops for a while now, and they're always positive. Well done!

Speaking of Sushi, I heard they finally found Nemo...

Re: Sushi making workshop

Just a word to all those who want to get into sushi making workshops and don't manage to squeeze in a place...

With the last workshop, the ad was open for 3 hours, with 7-8 places available and 21 people emailed me to come. I turned away good friends as well as people I didn't know, and had to be firm about taking "first come first served".

I used to keep a waiting list, but have made the decision not to do so any more.  It got more and more complicated juggling everything and everyone, and the list just got longer and longer, and that was putting me off running any more workshops. I run the workshops for fun, and when the organisational pain outweighs the fun there are two alternatives. Either start charging serious bucks to make it worth the pain, or change the way I run things. I decided to keep it fun.

I hate to disappoint people and am very happy that my workshops are so popular.  I certainly have a great time running them.

I do hope everyone will understand,  and also hope that eventually everyone who wants will get to come and play sushi with me!
