A big thank you to all the happy members that have showed up. This party only started with a small idea but thanks to everyone we had a awsome time. Everybody got Kraty on the dancefloor and I think we can fairly assume that without the GOL gang the place would have been pretty dead. We did have to insist a bit to get the advertised friday free cocktails for the Ladys and we never got to hear the 70's and 80's songs (cau's the DJ had lended the records to the dorman, who had forgotten to bring them back!!! ) But non of that has detracted the good spirits of the group to SHAKE the place. So thanks again to everyone for making this a great evening.

first of all thank you laurent for organizing, what would we lazy people do without you?
phoebe, tigger and i went to bypass first, ladies night, never again, we were the only ones where the bouncer didn´t wanted to see ID, that should have warned us. after one drink, free for the girls i had to pay, next time i will go in drag, we headed towards bclub.
it was nice seeing some of our friends and being able to talk to others we have seen before but never had the chance to actually talk to. the 70´s and 80´s music was great, too bad i couldn´t hear it because of all that 50 cent and smack that sorta music. as usual tigger and i danced on the poles, i guess we both want to be elizabeth berkley when we´ve grown up.
looking forward to the next one.

I must say I have to agree with all of you on the price issue, well seing the kind of people going in and out of the Baroque I kind of expected it. But nevertheless I'm sure we can have just as much fun in cheaper places. Besides aren't we the ones pumping up the place. Pfiuuuu how glad am I that we didn't have to pay for entrance! ;o)

I think it will be helpful for him to see what guys have to say, especially as B'Club advertises on GoL so they're obviously interested in GoLers.

my opinion is that if you have decided to live in geneva, the sixth most expensive city in the world, right after hong kong and before seoul, you can either pay the prices that make the city so expensive or stay at home with a carton migros red wine, which can be quite fun as well, although i prefer bottles. I don´t want to be a bitch, but it seems to be a hobby here to complain about prices. Come on folks, lighten up.

Maybe "our" expat vision is somehow biaised because "we" only go to those places where some locals would never put a toe in, because they are well known to be "sheik and bankers' sons ripp off". If you run for any new "glam", "trendy" or "posh" - can it as you please - place that opens, don't be suprised to be charged more than full price. But if you agree to go in a bar where the waitress doesn't necesseraly speaks english, where beer and wines come from 12km away and not the furthest away continent, where life music follows more the owner's taste than charts, and if spirit matters more than look, you may have nice suprises in GVA. Have a terrific 2007 in Geneva ! :-D
