Tree Climbing
It was a great activity. Thank Hobbes for organizing it.

Tree climbing is certainly a good workout. Well, it is not much of a cardiovascular nor muscular or even endurance-required kind of sport. It is good training of balance and control of one’s body. It is actually more a mind exercise since it is challenging only in ones’ mind/head. Some safety experts would certainly say that tree climbing is probably safer than driving in high ways. Am I right?

We had a good mixture of a groups of 12 people. Five of use finished the toughest black line. I believe all would have been able to do the black line but time was short.

I've found out that it is not easy to give proper compliment to some female folks who are extraordinary fit and brave. You said, hey, I am impressed! You are doing great. Why? Because I am a woman? You’re sexist, Wayne, ^ $ # % &@# …..No, I am not a sexist…OK, just take it personally. I am impressed by you, as an individual, not because you happen to be a woman. “Why do you think I was not able to..?”…. I do not know if this is helping you Wayne.. ^ $ # % &@#

Anyway, I was proud of everyone who had enjoyed the fear of height, and shared a good day together in the forest.

Hobbes, I am glad that you upload pics in Flicker as I suggested…the quality is much better…

and the only reason we thought you were sexist was cos you did actually say "wow you're doing really well for a girl"

telling me i'm great, full stop, is not being sexist, it's being truthful, just to clarify!

great day, thanks for organising it! had fun swinging from tree to tree and proving myself - i can hack the black! well most of it, my clever energy conservation techniques helped me thru to the end, simsim you know what i mean?! ;-)

i keep on finding more bruises all over me :-s dispite my trust in the arnica! tho non of them as bad as simsims i have to say.

over all great group great weather and great climbing... and im looking fwd to zorbing julian :-)

very proud of everyone who did it :-)

I am absolutely sure that I did not say that. Well, confession! I might have thought that way but I am too well-trained to avoid a freudian slip like that. That would have been certainly a sexism remark. And thank you…I certainly don’t think that you would be proud of a chauvinistic pig. SimSim said she was also pound of me too.

As Joelle said, it was the "wow you're doing really well FOR A GIRL" that kind of triggered the sexist comments.
But I am still proud of you, despite the patronising and blatent statments of the obvious (hold on to the stable wire...!?!) comments you regaled us with.
Proud of you as an individual. And not least as you beat me to launching the 'Member Activities Reviewed' for this event...
A BIG THANK YOU TO Hobbes for organising this event. And to Julian who organised the previous one that caught my attention as I was living my parallel life from Les Asturies..
Holy moly, the bruises! it is BLACK around the edges. Without Joelle's magic baubles who knows what it would be looking like now?!?! And I discovered more that frankly have no business being there! I think it is when I threw myself down the knoted rope at the end. So fast the pulley locked and I was left suspended on tiptoes... Could have been not my best move...
Was a lovely day. The monkey's eye perspective of the outdoors, the comradarie, the challenge, the picnic in the sun....
Altair, you were a great scout! Motivating us to look for the technique... where you hadn't :@}
