This day could not have been a more perfect day in terms of the weather, walking conditions, the almost timely arrival of everyone to the starting destination, and of course the view view VIEW of the glaciers, mountains and valleys along the AletschGlacier. I am truly thankful for Jasper for organizing this hike, and of course the great conversations along the way. I can now say that I've experienced some real swiss alpine hiking. Looking forward to seeing some of the pics online!
As for todays winner, Bustan_A definitely wins for getting on the wrong train and then running all the way up to the top of the mountain to catch up to us. that was truly an impressive catch up! and then being the first to reach the finishing point.
Looking forward to another great season next year!

Agree totally with Yumi - it was a perfect day - great weather, great company and fantastic scenery. Thanks again Jasper for organizing it all. Sorry I had to leave early but I did have a lovely hike back to Bettmeralp (as you will see from the last of my photos)

It indeed was wonderful - we were 17 in all - down from 24 initially. The extraordinary views came up intensely in my dreams, all night. Pictures speak for themselves.
