Many thanks, Jenny, for organising this dinner at the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Switzerland, the Hiltl in Zurich.
After a relaxing train ride up, Jenny and her husband (the unname-able ... ;) met me at the station and guided me to the restaurant. Just as well as my knowledge of Zurich is pretty much non-existent! I was - for once – overwhelmed by all the dishes I could choose from. A novelty in itself! In the end went for the delicious buffet, which I still hesitated over for a while :). Add to that the great company and conversation and who could ask for more! Looking forward to the next vegetarian-orientated activity organised by this group, which btw is open to everyone!
I took a few photos just to give you all a vicarious taste! (where do I send them?)

I Love that place! I could've easily eaten there every night while i was out in Zurich on business, but limited it to 2x's, as i find there are so many nice places to go eat in Zurich; places with greater atmosphere.
That was quite a ways out for dinner though! The ZOLer community is slowly but surely growing and I always enjoy meeting familiar faces when i'm out there.

The ride was worth it just for the experience of having such a range of interesting (and yummy) vegetarian dishes. My eyes and stomach were very happy. What a treat!
But obviously it's not somewhere I'll be going on a regular basis because of the distance. Does anyone know of anything similar in Lausanne?
Would have been lovely to meet some ZoLers. Maybe next time?
