Volunteer! GVA week-end for the blind
organized by Zazaonline. Due to previous commitments I only managed to help out on Sunday for a few hours. I must admit it was just good to see for my daughter, that there are lost of people around who care for others. Seen old friends and met new ones. Rashka, you have done a wonderful job organizing a weekend for 15 blind young people from near Paris.
I heard everybody had a great time visiting the UN and a chocolate factory near Nyon on Saturday, and the Lebanese dinner in the evening. We went to visit the Red Cross Museum Sunday morning, an experience which has touched my heart. As Bain de Paquis was closed for lunch, I'm glad the Rest. in Rue Leman had room, hope it went ok.

Thanks for caring and you have my full support at any time,...and see you guys at the Green Hope Summer party!

Re: Volunteer! GVA week-end for the blind
Post 1
It was amaizing to observe how each of them adopted his/her own way to compensate blindless with other senses.. and the way they were happy and full of life just made all of us feel so good! (at least several volunteers that I had chance to talk about it) It was a great experience, we tried to give some, but -speaking for myself - in return, we got a lot...
