West Side Story - 2 pianos & 2 percussions
In preparation of the concert which will be given on Feb 17 at 11h in the BFM concert hall building, I had organised an invitation for the rehearsal on Feb 1st, where pianos and persussion played together "for the first time". A group of 5 happy glocals joined a selected public of about 20 people in the studio Wilsdorf down in the basement of the Uni-Mail building.
Required for the execution of Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story are two grand-pianos and a full set of percussion instruments played by two percussionists. The very well known music with all the whistles and bells came to life in an extraordinary coordination between the professional players.
Then I realized again the enormous emotional value of life music. I was hilarious and so happy to be able to share this experience with my friends.

I think that all lovers of West Side Story (instrumental) Music will have an immense pleasure to go to the real concert on Feb 17th - see link

(program duration about one hour).

Thank you, jasper for organizing it for us. The rehearsal was breathtaking. Bela Bartok, sonate for two pianos and percussions was superb, and Leonard Bernstein was fantastic. Shall we go again on 17th? :)
And here are the names of the musicians: Elena Ivanova et Meglena Tzaneva, piano; Christophe Delannoy et Michael Tschamper, percussions
