I simply loved organizing this event……we were 49!

Let’s recap:
Took me a while to reach a final agreement, the toughest part was probably if I was picking the right food (with so many different nationalities, can be tricky!)!
So, we all met at the Cornavin train station to head off to “Domaine de Choully” for the lovely wine tasting. Every driver got a balloon to hang to the car antenna (hi, hi…) and a detailed map (in colour, please!). Apparently, worked out very well (they all got there!).
Then, wine, and more wine, I must say after the 3rd white, I was not that sober anymore! Still have the souvenir in my mouth of that yummy foie gras and the lobster…..
And in the end, we decided to have fun and play a bit with some participants (we made them taste water, wine, milk….they did pretty well, obviously I need to think of giving them more wine next time!).

Thanks Iolly for organizing this superb event, it was really nice to meet all those GOL members while tasting different wines from the Region, wines that we generally don’t know very well despite the fact that the quality is getting better and better since a few years. The food served with the wine was also very tasty. Thanks also to Nir for all his questions about the tasting that helped us to improve our tasting skills. Cheers.

Thanks Nir and Iloly! The first beautiful Spring day was out for you and all of the day went so smoothly. You guys make it look easy! A great group yesterday and it was a pleasure to make new aquantainces...Now Iloly....Where can we buy some of that wine girl? :-) I loved 3rd Red Wine!

There you have it...Those with ranking 1.64582707 or higher liked red wine number 3. Iloly beat me to the bottles which ups her ranking to 1.65399...edging me out. Damn :-0 Pfff..Nir's still at the 1.55 level...Rookie... :-)

...beautiful weather, lovely surroundings, friendly people, delicious wine (esp.the white wines!), yummy food..uhm..what more can I say...? oh yes; count me in for the next one, count me in for the next one, count me in for the next one, count me in for the next one...etc..
