well, what can i say other than it was a GREAT party! i certainly had fun. some people made more of an effort than others to dress up (there were some really good costumes, there), but even without, there were loads of people who were enjoying themselves, so it didn't really matter (side note, any chance of having aircon in there next time? the only time i ventured near the bar, i felt like i was in a sauna...). and there seemed to be quite a few photographers, so there'll certainly be some hard evidence of the party somewhere (methinks on the LG's screens for some time to come - any chance that can be edited??).
Andrei, you did well and you were a great host. thanks for organising this. it was fun.

Speaking of effort of costumes, below is the picture of you and Andrei from the party.
It's hard to understand what Andrei is saying, but I think it's: "Pass me the Water bottle pls, Minda".
Seriously, I heard it was a great night, and I'm sorry I missed it due to un-planned stuff.

gee, thanks Nir! i didn't actually feel underdressed last night, but now... you should have been there, instead of making dubious picture collages (a very child-like activity, if i may say so!). :P

I wonder what it is about Geneva or Glocals that brings the best in people. I mean, I've lived in many of these large cities (London, NY, Tokyo) and you just don't get this sort of fun. It's like the university campus life which I never got to experience but am finally now getting a flavor for it 20 yrs later :w00t:
Even though I was in zurich having fun with a different crownd, just want to say "well done" to all those that make Geneva such a fun town!
For March, get ready for the big party that includes the last birthday party (and my own bday) and a sayonara possibly all in one. :crying:

YouMeCo, I think it's both )) and of course it's luck - I am so lucky to know a few great people here in Geneva who came to the party and brought friends, friends of friends etc )) And of course people make the party - bring in good people and the party will be great ))
So in the end it's that simple: great people make great parties, and great parties attract great people. so great people keep coming to Geneva (not only to party though )) lol )

I think you're being a bit modest here when you put your parties' success down to luck and to 'GVA attracting great people'. You surely play a big part of it as well!
Many people organise many parties in GVA, and they promote them in similar ways: on glocals, on FB, and via their friends. But some parties just explode with energy and people, and others crash or never even take off.
I think there's a few factors to a party working well:
- People trusting you. People start knowing that when Andrei and his team throw a party, there's a good chance it will rock...So good people show up. But that's not luck: that's trust...
- A good party concept. You picked a wild one this time...
- Good marketing. You did everything right, and the word was on everyone's lips that day.
I'd like to think that there's also the glocals spirit of "good friendly down-to-earth people having fun" at play here, but maybe that's more wishful thinking than reality...(-:
In any case, you and Babilicious pulled off a great one.
