had a great snowshoe outing yesterday to Mijoux. thanks to all who came out! even though the sun didn't (come out that is), the weather was great.. until we left! perfect timing, although the drivers might disagree. so a huge thank you to lentil, anou and adri's friend for the lift and having to brave the storm on the way back!!
and for those who cancelled, too bad you couldn't come out, but i appreciate you letting me know beforehand. a no no-show event. wooo!

is certainly one I won't forget in a hurry! The actual snowshoe outing was fun, everything went smoothly – with only one fall – and it was great to be able to breathe in the fresh mountain air while crunching along with other GOLers. Thank you Jackie - our Canadian snowshoe expert - for organising this. I have definitely been bitten by the snowshoeing bug. However, next time I’ll check the weather forecast BEFORE I leave. Three hours’ driving (due to the terrible weather conditions) to get us home in one piece was a bit grim :( and almost negated the positive effects of the outing. Thankfully a hot bath with my special salts sorted me out …

Hi all,
Just wanted to thank Jackie for organizing such a fun trip and for Janet for seeing us up and over the snowy Jura!
I had a great time on my first snowshoe and first GOL event that I made; and can't wait for the next foray into the snow.
Here is a listing of 19 snowshoe places in Lake GVA region:

Cheers,
Ann-Marie
