Anyone going to OKTOBERFEST !?

So a friend of mine decided to come visit last minute and she wants to go to OktF. I was looking at flights and they are looking expensive. Is anyone driving there over the weekend of 5-7 or 13th of October? We will definitely throw in some money! THANKS

Hi - I was speaking to another gol member (Timol - who incidentally posted on member activities that he was driving up to munich, but not sure which date) who told me that Oktoberfest started in september.. - which was big news to be... as you would think that oktoberfest would start in october. anyway, check out the dates here, so your friend doesnt end up going when its already too late!

Here is some information related to the Munich brew party from the private side:
Raw costs for a private flight with 3 passengers to OktoberFest would cost about 1'200.- CHF per passenger, all tax included. Daily-return trip or weekend flight, same price.
Departure and return at your convenience, no check-in nor luggage pick-up delay.
(hmm, beer consumption onboard will be subject to quantity approval...)
Though I don't drink beer, I would consider flying to Munich this weekend (29-30 Sep) or next one (6-7 Oct). Let me know if one is interested ([email protected])
A day trip is much easier to organize, since you don't need to worry for the hotel...
