There are a million places to stay in Bangkok and they all look great, so I need some real feedback on what is worth the money and was actually amazing. We are looking for a great view, delicious breakfast and comfy beds. Please help us decide!!

It really depends on your budget. If you're not afraid spoiling yourself a bit, I'd recommend you go all-out, since Bangkok has some incredible price/quality ratio. I would never stay at a super-expensive 5-star hotel here in Central Europe, but in Bangkok it's possible to get 5-star comfort for as little as 100CHF a night. Where in Europe could you do that?
Two places I've stayed at and can highly recommend are the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit and State Tower at Lebua. Sheraton is more expensive, but conveniently located at the center. Lebua is more out of the way, but if you're lucky you can get a floor really high up for a spectacular view. Both feature top-notch service from the staff.
Look around for deals on www.latestays.com . Often you can get a better deal there than directly from the hotel. Don't be afraid of browsing 5-star ones, you would be surprised by how affordable they can be. If you see a place that looks promising, read reviews on trusty old www.tripadvisor.com . Just remember that traffic in Bangkok is bad, so pick a good central location or you will end up being stuck far away from the activities.
I'm sure you will have a great time in Bangkok. Hopefully you can pick a great place / great places to stay where you can truly enjoy the wonderful Thai hospitality and service!

Yes, I have spoke with the Lebua hotel but there are two of them right? I thought it looked fabulous and they gave us and upgrade and everything however then I watched a show on tv and it didnt look at luxurious as it did in the photos on the website, what do you think? Overall I want a gorgeous hotel, with a bed that you never want to leave and yummy food, but it is true you dont want to be miles away. I guess since the weather might be horrid I better get something we really love. We originally wanted to spend 250 per night, however now looking at all the options we thought why waste that money when we can stay both nights combined for 250. Too many choices and its coming up so fast!! Thank you guys for your help!

Hi,
I am from Bangkok, I personally dont like Le Bau as much as Sheraton from my experience staying there I think its not the most convenient hotel to travel around since there is no skytrain in the walking distant. BUT highllight of state tower is Sirroco andf sky bar .. this is something you dont want to miss when you are in Bangkok ..
ok I would recommend few .. Sheraton Sukumvit is a five star hotel, i love their service.. Sometime I went to the restaurant there, their staff are really nice and polite .. thats impressive .. Location umm they have sky walk way direct from skytrain so that easy to move around .. and it located in a city of Bangkok .. within walking distance .. there will be lots of things to see
another two Fab Hotel
its the Mandarin Oriental .. located by the river .. good food good view good location, this is the hotel we accomodate the national guest .. so for me this is the best .. to me no place like Oriental
another one is Marriot and Spa Hotel .. Located by the river .. if you love spa guess this is heaven for you ..
I hope this is helpful and welcome to Thailand ;)
