Budapest
Can anyone recommend nice clean place close to the center of the city? i'm going in mid May. in terms of places to visit, i have a hungarian in the group that's willing to give me tips on "what to's", but not on hotels since he's originally from there. (once i get his suggested top tips, i'll post this on) thanks

I spent a weekend there recently with my girlfriend, we stayed at the Hotel Budapest, it's close to the centre prob 5 mins by tram. Its on www.hotel.com if you want to check it out. Don't be put off by the cylindrical form - it's nice and clean inside and much better than you would get for the price in Western Europe, plus breakfast is included. Of course, i'm judging it against the places i've stayed previously i.e. Ibis (it's better btw) so depends on what you're used to.

Nothing exceptionnal, not great for a 3 stars hotel bit the rooms were big, and the location was ok. We paid around 40 euros a night in early December.
