Hi, I'm going to California for holidays and will travel from San Francisco to Vegas. Any tip of where to stay, where to eat, bars, beaches, night clubs etc...?

If you're going by car, take the Big Sur Coast Highway 1. Go and see the sunset on the beach at Big Sur (but don't overnight there: too expansive)

Thank you. We will rent a car and we are planning to take Highway 1. Any idea where to stay in Santa Barbara?

No, sorry. Last time I slept in Santa Barbara, Internet did not exist yet ;)

If you are planning on spending some time in San Diego I could offer some suggestions, I lived there for over 3 years.. it is great!!

In Santa Barbara you can try the Villa Rosa - a small b&b close to the beach (I worked there years ago when it first opened). You might want to contact the Santa Barbara Visitor's Center for names and addresses of hotels. And you absolutely have to eat at La Superica - a mexican "restaurant" (it's more than a stand, but less than a restaurant) - great food, very well known. Have fun!
