Could anyone share some insight on Corsica?
A friend and I are thinking of flying down on EasyJet in August for 3-4 days. Should we rent a car? What is the easiest way to get to Nice for a couple days too?
Looking forward to it.

Corsica is an amazing island - I would hire a car as the scenery when you're driving is spectacular. As you only have a few days, I would do Ajaccio and Bonefaccio, both of which are beautiful. If you want to go to the beach, be aware that there are virtually no places to stay near the beach except for camping grounds. and usually not much in the way of food places.
enjoy!

Nice island, Stayed in Bastia and road around in scooter and did camping sauvage.
You may take the train between bastia and Ajacio. You may do the GR20 if you're keen on hiking. August is peak season expect heavy traffic of tourist. Restaurant and accomodation can be expensive but otherwise you can still find reasonable places. 4 days is not enough to see Corsica. I travelled around Corsica for 2 weeks and still think it wasnt enough.
