I have family coming to stay in Paris in July. They have heard of a company (Viator) that does day trips to Bruge. Anyone know of them or have suggestions to go to see things from Paris??
They also thought of a bike trip through Versaille, but we cant tell how intense it is.
Suggestions for tours for non-europeans? Suggestions for day trips?
THANKS!!!

Brugge in Belgium is about 2.5 to 3 hour one way ride from Paris, even if they take the TGV or Thalys. By coach it will take a long time to get there and back in a day. A bit rushed for a lovely little town. Still, where there is a will...
They could explore Brugge without an agency, by taking a TGV or Thalys ride and then guided City Tour when they get to Brugge. Check out:

Versailles is sorta flat. The gardens have a path around them (feels like you are in a forest), open for walking and biking. The old town is small and it is a very easy hike, bike path!! :-)
Other one day trip ideas
- If they enjoy wine, head to Alsace by the recently opened TGV line (hmmm, they broke the world record for train surface speed - past the MAGLEVs). A number of wine tours in Alsace area. Or to Champagne area.
- If they like castles and Chateau set in rolling hills and history, Tours area to the west are nice
- If they are into history, Normandy and D-Day beaches to the north
- Places such as, and around, Lille to the northeast; Dijon, Lyon, and Beaune to the south and southeast are other options
Depends a lot on what they find invigorating and relaxing.
There is a lot to enjoy and explore within Paris. If you want some recommendations there too, send me a note.
