Funiculaire - Thonon-les-Bains
If you ever visit Thonon-les-Bais, I would not advise taking the funiculaire. Nothing like the Swiss versions which are well maintained. This one got stuck just a few metres from taking off and the ticketing guy had to climb up and with a pole to try and get it moving. It still won't work and he had to climb again a second time. I don't know whether he eventually got it moving but I insisted that he open the door and walked down; and naturally asked for my refund.
