German Rail Passes - where to get?

Does anyone here know where I can buy German Rail passes online in a Swiss website or in person in Geneva?

I can't find the link for purchasing the pass in the German Rail website (http://www.bahn.de).

One website I found - Railpass.com - charges a tad too high (price for the pass I want on www.bahn.de is €258, they sell €313, including US$49 for shipping).  Sorry, but my purpose for buying the pass is to cut cost not to add cost.

Another website www.raileurope.com does not ship to Switzerland.

How much do sales agents charge anyway? (and why the heck can't we buy from source at this day and age!)

Any info or links to where I can get the pass without incurring too much extras will be helpful.  Thanks!

Hi Joycelyn,

you should be able to buy the pass directly online from www.bahn.de - unfortunatetly the site is only in german. They send the ticket also to Switzerland and you can pay by credit card.

What pass are you interested in? I did not see a pass for €258 (how many travel days within which period?). Maybe I can assist you to find the link to book directly.

Hi,

Thanks for both your useful replies.

I meant to get the 2nd class "3 days in 1 month twinpass" which cost €258. (http://www.bahn.de/i/view/GBR/en/prices/germany/germanrailpass.shtml).

What I did was, at the top of  www.bahn.de page, I chose UK/Ireland so that I could navigate the site in English.  However, based on your advice, I realise now that if I navigate the site in German, there are additional links to where I could probably find the place to purchase the pass.

Will try again today.  Thanks again!

Hey,

I just bought the pass from the bahn.de website choosing the Suisse version from the top of the website.  Decided to splurge on the the "4 days in 1 month" option at €280.  Thanks a lot!

Cheers!
