Hotel Recommendations in Paris??
Sep 22, 2009 @ 20:38
Hello. We (me and a special he) are traveling together to Paris for the first time (his first time in France) in late October (after 24-10). I want a lovely place to stay without breaking the bank, although we are willing to splurge for this trip. Any suggestions on charming hotels or vacation apartments? I look forward to the guidance...

Hello,
I stayed at the Hotel Prima LePic in December 2008 and found it very nice. The price was 100 Euros per night including breakfast and it is only minutes away from 2 metro stations, Abbesses and Pigalle.

Do you realize that you show up as a chicken on your photo?

The 6me arrondissement is very nice but the rooms in the hotels are very small, better go in the 9ème arrondissement. The 14ème is also quite nice. For the week-end, all the good hotels are offering week-end rates.

Maria,
Louvre is in 1st arrondissement, Eiffel is in 7th.
The metro service is good, frequent, and gets you to major attraction.
Here is a map of Paris arrindissements:

Another fun thing is to use the bike rentals "Velib" - stations are all over the city, and easy to rent with a credit card.
Have a great time!
