I'm planning to visit Kerala in August (first time in India) - As a supplement to reading guidebooks, all personalized tips and advice are welcome (cheap flights, how to organize accomodations, places of interest, clothing, etc) and might be useful to other GoL members. See you there maybe ?

Hi, Just wanted to let you..August is not the best time to visit Kerala. Its still Monsoon season. September is nicer and the major festival Onam is at that time. If you go during August, the beaches are pretty inaccessisble because there are so many waves.
I took my husband there for the first time last year and he loved it...
let me know if you need help on anything specific...I love Kerala but then again I am biased...
