Check out the Camargue on Wikipedia and the official regional websites. Lots of small ancient villages to see- check out the events calendar. On the way back, stop in Nîmes and look at the sites there: excellent contemporary art museum, roman buildings, the bullfighting arena; food is great, can't beat 'rapport qualité/prix'. So much to do, you'll definitely be back!

Hi,

I lived in Montpellier for 30 years and the city has changed alot.  There is alot to see and do. All depends on what you want to do and if you have a car or not. There is a nice museum in the "centre ville" Musée Fabre, renovated a couple of years ago.  If you like seafood, you can go to a small village Meze where you can have oysters.  There is a beautiful place where you can have one of the best Foie gras with home made bread and it's lost in the middle of nowhere, the place is called Saugras (+33 467 550 871) and it is also a bed & breakfast but not sure you will find a room at this time of the year. You need to book and ask for directions if you plan to go. There is a lot more to say so if you are interested, let me know. :)
