New York, tips anybody

Hi you guys,

I have travelled throughout the world and back but believe it or not I have never been to New York ... I'll be heading out there this Saturday so I'm looking for some tips on things to definitely do and don't do...

All tips welcome :-)Smile

a very cool restaurant... trendy with cool crowd is : http://www.esquinanyc.com/

(reserve for the brasserie...you wont be disappointed)

Meatpackers district has some very lively bars and restaurants.

If you like sushi, try sushi samba on christopher st...

if you like martini cocktails, try the bar of the Hudson Hotel.... its very trendy.

eat a hot dog in central park, or a giant steak in one of the many steak houses in manhatten.

otherwise enjoy.... its pretty much all good.

Marea LUNCH – sea urchin spaghetti – best pasta in the universe !!

Annisa DINNER South African

The lion  DINNER  its very clubby in an brown stone house buzzy

Minetta Tavern – hardest booking in the world – if you are lucky to get a table go for 10pm onwards and sit at the front opposite the bar

ABC KITCHEN – LUNCH – wonderful all local healthy run by Jean Gorges

CORSINO – good for Sunday night – great for sharing

Bombay talkie – causual Indian street food interesting

11 Madison Ave – its been around for ages but is back in fashion , really fab setting great food (my favourite for a special evening out

DONT eat at so called best italian newcomer in NYC called Maialino- terrible terrible food and over hyped/ overpriced

DO buy your g/f some shiny black leggings from American Apparel for about 28chf...she will love you for it- just trust me on that one!

Walk around Mercer street/ soho on Sunday
