Thanks Sven, I'll consider going to St. Gallen next weekend since it is like 3.5hr to St. Gallen - would you recommend staying the whole day in OLMA or would I have time to explore the city also or maybe someplace else nearby? Would one day be enough or should I be staying longer.

So I guess Lucerne's autumn festival doesn't offer too much then. I really would like to walk around the city since the map looks wonderful. Which one of these mountains might you recommand going up -  Pilatus,  Engelberg / Titlis, Rigi? Or maybe another one. The biosphere is suppose to be a world hertigage site.

Some nice German couple I met in Zermatt once told me to go and visit - Schaffhausen, Stein-am-Rhein, Neuhausen am Rheinfall while I was in that area. -> could I do those in a day?
