Hi, I'm off to Panama City, Panama, for work, and will have some free time. It's my first time in Central America and I'd really appreciate some pointers on some must do things whilst there.
Thanks, Pavan

It seems obvious but the Panama Canal is really worth the trip. Ships pass thru pretty frequently and its worth hanging around for when one passes. There's an observation deck where they serve food that has the best view.
Otherwise, if you can get to the northern coast, there is a set of islands called Bocas del Toro. Many of the islands are swamps, but some of the more remote ones have great little 'resorts' (in the loosest sense of the word) where you can stay in tree houses, snorkel at night with the phosphorescent plankton (during lightening storms, brilliant!) and get out to the surrounding islands to snorkel. requires a bit of extra travel time (recommend flying from Panama City) but totally worth it. There are some interesting jungle areas representing many of the local Indian tribes too. Not as up on where they are but there is an organization called CREA south of Panama City that I've heard of and might be worth looking into if you're into sustainability.
Tienes un buen viaje!
