Recommendations for children's first ski trip

My boys (aged 10 and 13) are coming out to Geneva from England for a short holiday in February.  They are desperate to try skiing.  I would like to know where would be best for them to start as they have never skied before.

Can anyone recommend places near Geneva, and if possible accessible by public transport, where we could spend about 4 nights and they can have ski lessons?

Any advice very welcome.

Thanks for these tips, I will be doing some day trips with them and so St Cergue is a good choice.

on the same train line from Nyon to St Cergues, further on is La Cure at the French border. You can pick up a ski bus at 'la cure douane' to all the ski runs of Les Rousses and they are only 5 minutes drive away ; the pistes at Les Jouvencelles are perfect for beginners, have wide slopes not too steep plus the 'baby' chair lifts which will be perfect for the first week or two only cost about 9 euros per day, far far less than in many resorts where you end up paying for the extended skilifts even if you don't use them. they have a ski school there as well where you can usually manage to get an appointment for an hour just by asking.

Mont Jura is only a few km from Geneva and provides good slopes for starters, quite cheap compared to mainstream resorts as Chamonix, Megeve, Verbier, etc.
